🦾Tesla's New Hardware🦾

Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to a stage to show off what has to be this year's best tech reveal with a swath of new hardware🦾

Humanoids and new autonomous vehicles were on show as he unveiled a new robotaxi dubbed the "Cybercab" that he says will go into production in 2027 and crucially cost less than $30,000 (€27,000; £23,000) (We expect some major caveats to that) and challenges like autonomous vehicles not being legal in most of the world🚗

Tesla aren't first in the game though with big competitor Waymo which has been offering fully driverless rides since 2020 - it reached 100,000 weekly rides in August🚕

So what?

We aren't sure how big the immediate market is for robots but let's not shun the idea too quickly. Ageing populations, more lonely folks, the cost of care rising, if folks can get autonomous humanoids to plug some of these gaps then the lifetime costs may be reasonable for a big enough segment of society.

As for the car's well if they work then why not 

🤖Space X catches a rocket👋🏾

Oh it's been a good week for Elon Musk👀

SpaceX's Super Heavy booster was caught by its own launch tower using arms nicknamed the 'chopsticks' at the end of its of Starship's rocket's 5 test flight test🚀

You need to see it to really appreciate the rocket science going into it but it is a big step. A good way to think of it is, imagine, taking a flight and throwing away the plane at the end of the trup. Super expensive right? Well making the Super Heavy booster a fully reusable launch system the costs should come down massively📉

The New UK government will be happy with the news that some of the bIg data centre operators in the global tech community are committing $6.3bn to building some new ones in the UK? 💸

Why? Well the government asked nicely and must have suggested some incentives are coming along the way in the up and coming budget💰

Our partners ServiceNow plans to invest £1.15 billion into its UK business to support AI development expanding its data centres which are packed with Nvidia GPUs for more local data processing💻

The total economic impact of cloud computing in the UK is actually larger than the UK’s automotive manufacturing sector, coming in at £42 billion in 2023, equivalent to 1.6% of GDP🇬🇧
